Vigdis Rosenkilde is a Norwegian founder who sold everything she owned and went to Latin America to realise her dream of working with cocoa and chocolate. Now, Vigdis buys the best cocoa she can find directly from farmers in Peru. This way, she can assure the quality, the farmer gets a fair price and you get the best chocolate. The biggest part of her production takes place in Peru, but she also makes smaller batches of chocolate in Oslo which she delivers to Kontrast. Vigdis holds many courses about cocoa and chocolate.

We grow apples of type Aroma, Rubinstep and James Grieve, and our mixed apple juice won glamorous Norwegian apple juice competition in 2017. We work with Borgebund and Dyre farms on production and pressing – our bottles only contain local apples with no additives of any kind.

Grøndalen Gård produces a type of cheese called Nyr. The cheese is made from sour, organic whole milk from cows without any additives. Nyr can be used in everyday cooking, replacing sour cream and cream in cooking, as well as for desserts. All production of Nyr takes place at the farm, where the milk is pasteurized, acidified and hung in cheese bags for drainage of whey. Grøndalen Gård is “spesialmerket”and debio marked (proves that the products are produced in an organic and sustainable way).
